If re-elected, Todd Sudick will provide:

LEADERSHIP
County government must be user-friendly. County employees are there to assist the public in accessing the services that their government provides and help navigate them to the best possible outcome. At all times the individual rights of the citizens should be protected. Your commissioners are there to ensure the process works for the electorate.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Balanced budgets should be the hallmark of government. Continually raising taxes is not the answer to long-term economic prosperity for the county or its citizens. Responsible budgets should be driven by revenues, and the goal is to increase revenues through economic development. The commissioners should make budget priorities center around essential services, public safety and roads. The key to accomplishing that is utilizing the talents of county employees who run our various departments and making them responsible for the budgets they receive.

LIMITED GOVERNMENT
The Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution spell out the principle of limited government. The residents of Bonner County should have a say in how federal and state regulations impact their lives. I have been very active in trying to assure that the Lake Pend Oreille water levels do not fluctuate to the detriment of our citizens. Property rights need to be protected whether it is against unreasonable governmental seizure or habitat designations.

County government must continually review all county codes and the comprehensive plan to see what does and doesn’t work. This helps ensure property rights are protected.
