Schedule of Events: On the City Boardwalk & Sandpoint Marina and Downtown


Saturday, July 10

7 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Mountain Man Breakfast. In the Sandpoint Community Hall; sponsored by the Bonner County Historical Society

9 a.m. - Farmers Market Opens. Farmin Park at the corner of Third and Oak, plus live music

9 a.m. - National Guard Presentation of Colors. Sandpoint Community Hall

9:30 a.m. - Retiring of colors. Sandpoint Community Hall

10 a.m. - 8th Annual Sandpoint Wooden Boat Show Opens / Ships Store Opens. This year's theme is "WoodenStock"

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Beer and Wine Garden and Family BBQ. Sandpoint Marina

Noon - Park Place Summer Sounds. Downtown at 1st and Cedar

12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Ducks for Peace. Find a floating pool full of "love" ducks at the Sandpoint Marina - pluck it out and discover a great offer and/or gift from downtown businesses. Plus enjoy Children's Chalk Art.

2 p.m. Model Boats Parade. Spokane's Model Boat Club hosts parade at Sandpoint Marina

3 p.m. Wooden Boat Parade. This is a spectators' favorite event - see a beautiful lineup of wooden boats at Sand Creek and City Beach

5 p.m. Boat Festival closes


Sunday, July 11

Sandpoint Flat Water Regatta. This race takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Beach and will be held on Sand Creek, starting at Bridge Street and proceeding north to Highway 95 bridge and back to Bridge Street.


9 a.m. - Expert canoes and kayaks. 5 miles - tandem paddlers
10 a.m. - Expert kayaks. 5 miles - singler paddlers
11 a.m. - Recreational class/canoes and kayaks. 2.5 miles - tandem paddlers
Noon - Recreational class/kayaks. 5 miles - single paddlers
1 p.m. - Creative class/decorated crafts to run on a course from Bridge Street to Cedar Street and back

This Sandpoint Rotary Club event is to raise funds for a scholarship program for local high school graduates. They are hoping for 100-plus entries, so join in the fun!
